RV Tips: 6 Comfortable Tips for RV Life

As a full-time RVer, there are plenty of ways to make living in your RV more comfortable for everyone. Below, we’ll show you six of our favorite ways to improve life at the campground. Don’t miss these easy RV tips below.

Give Everyone a Dedicated Space

This is sometimes easier said than done, depending on the size of your RV. We have a 42ft fifth wheel for our family of three, so it’s easy to give everyone the space they need. However, no matter what your space looks like, you should try to carve out a space for everyone to keep their things, so the RV feels tidy and a little like home.

Bring Plenty of Blankets

Keeping your RV feeling cozy with a few throws or fluffy blankets to cuddle up with at night is an excellent way to help the whole family feel more at home. Plus, sitting around the fire with a blanket over your lap is an excellent way to bond with your family while you tell stories.

Keep a First Aid Kit or Two

Honestly, don’t leave home without having at least one first aid kit in your RV. We try to keep one in our outdoor kitchen for easy access. Additionally, there’s one in the RV’s bathroom. Make sure you keep yours stocked and updated in case your kid takes a tumble, or you cut yourself while making dinner.

Use Command Hooks for Towels

Our bathroom didn’t really have anywhere to hang a towel, which is pretty common for RVs. We fixed this really quickly by adding several command hooks throughout the space. There’s now one on the back of the door, one by the sink, and two in the shower itself for drying towels.

Have a Dedicated Laundry Spot

Finding a spot to keep our laundry had been one of our biggest hurdles for RV life. Honestly, there are just very few places to hide a laundry basket. Thankfully, you can pretty easily find a hanging laundry hamper for keeping on the back of your master bedroom door. Additionally, lots of RVs have washer/dryer hookups or laundry chutes to help you keep the clutter down.

Pack Plenty of Comfortable Camp Chairs

You’ll want to spend plenty of time out around the campfire with your friends and family, so pack some extra chairs! Stock up on camp chairs, and be sure to bring all of them so that no one is left sitting on the ground or trying to get comfortable on the picnic bench away from the fire.
